Ngāti Rehua-Ngāti Wai ki Aotea Trust is currently undergoing organisational change, which involves an operational restructure providing us with some unique opportunities to seek a competent individual who will have a strong background or experience in People, Culture management to apply for the position of Kaiwhakahaere Matua - Operations Manager.

The position will have 5 Key Management deliverables:

-Oversight of all Operational Functions

- People & Culture Management

- Implement Operational Structure including the development of Systems, Policy & Procedures

- Funding Co-ordination & Accountability Reporting

- Oversee Project Monitoring, Deliverables & QualityImprovement.

We are seeking a Change Practitioner who brings a wealth of experience to organisational growth and resilience, your leadership in building cultural capability to all levels of our iwi and organisation will ensure you will be a standout candidate for this role.

Kaitiaki Putea | Finance Manager

Ngāti Rehua-Ngāti Wai ki Aotea Trust is currently undergoing organisational change, which involves an operational restructure inclusive of the finance team, providing us with some unique opportunities to seek a competent individual who is suitably qualified and experienced in Accounting, Financial Planning & Fund Management to apply for the position of Kaitiaki Putea - Finance Manager, you will need to fulfil on;

Our 5 Financial Management & Economic Leadership areas:

- Provide financial management and oversight as they relate to the Trust financials and fulfilling delegated responsibilities to funding agreements.

- Support the Trust to increase its revenue and resources to build the economic wealth for Iwi Māori development and advancement.

- Ensure best practice standards, financial policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.

- Support organisational Quality, Risk and Resilience Planning.

- Provide overall economic leadership and systems training of all financial personnel in their roles and responsibilities.

This position is an independent contractor position with flexible working arrangements either working from the iwi office or from home remotely for up to 40 hours per week. This role would best suit someone who has the ability to work during weekdays and attend evening meetings or other times deemed necessary by the Trust, we anticipate this role will be for a minimum of 12 months in line with our current funding agreements.

We are seeking a Financial Manager who can be a team player who can effectively collaborate with a small but agile operations team to support the Trust strategic and financial objectives. If you are financially savvy with a high level of honesty and integrity, then this job is for you.

Ngāti Rehua-Ngāti Wai ki Aotea Trust is currently undergoing organisational change, which involves an operational restructure providing us with some unique opportunities to seek a competent individual who will have a strong background or experience in administrative management to apply for the position of PA – Personal Assistant & Project Administrator within our Health, Education and Community-Led Development sectors.

Our 2 key projects are in Education & Community Led Development:

Te Pou Ramaroa – Whānau Engagement Project for young people 11-18 years of age providing a range of education & wellbeing services (including skills, training and employment pathways) in providing equitable opportunities for all our beneficiaries carve out a meaningful life.

Toitū Aotea - Community Led Development Project for the northern area of Aotea Great Barrier Island, supporting Māori and Community enterprise.

This position is an independent contractor position with flexible working arrangements either working from the iwi office or from home for up to 30 hours per week.

This role would best suit someone who has the ability to work after hours, weekends or at other times deemed by the Trust, we anticipate this role will be for a minimum of 12 months in line with our current funding agreements for the Ministry of Education and Department of Internal Affairs, each project has the potentiality to extend funding into 2026.
